Membership Tuition & Policies
Registration Fee
A $35 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of initial sign-up. A $10 discount is available for siblings and returning members.
● A returning member is defined as any student who re-enrolls after a gap of one (1) or more months between enrollment periods.
Monthly Tuition Structure
Tuition is charged as a flat monthly fee. Most months will include four (4) or five (5) lessons, and occasionally three (3) lessons in months where major national holidays are observed. The first month’s lesson will be pro-rated.
● Lessons held at a Community Partner facility will follow that facility’s calendar.
● No weekly lessons/classes will be held during the summer months.
● The first month’s tuition will be prorated based on the number of lessons remaining in the month.
Multi-Student Discount
Accounts with three (3) or more active students are eligible for a $10 monthly discount per account. To qualify, all students on the account must be enrolled at the 2025 August rate.
Additional Costs
Educational materials, music books, instrument rentals, festivals, examinations, and accessories are not included in monthly tuition and will be billed separately as needed.
Payment Terms
● Membership tuition is due on the first of each month and will be automatically billed to your credit card (Visa or Mastercard).
● A $25 late fee will be applied to any payment received after the 10th of the month.

Membership Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice Requirements
To cancel your membership, please notify our studio via text or email. Verbal communication will no longer be accepted. Once you reach out, an administrator will follow up to conduct a brief phone survey regarding your experience.
Cancellation Timeline
● Notice of cancellation must be submitted by the 25th of the current month. Your membership will then end at the close of that same month.
● If notice is given after the 25th, your membership will remain active through the following month, and tuition will be charged as usual.
● Students may choose to attend or skip any remaining lessons during their final month.
Special Circumstances
In cases of unexpected injury or accidents, tuition may be transferred to a family member for lesson use. Tuition is non-refundable under any circumstance.
School-Initiated Termination
Scottsdale Studio of Music reserves the right to terminate a membership at any time. In such cases, prorated tuition will be refunded.
Attendance & Make-Up Policy
Attendance Expectations
Students are expected to arrive on time for their weekly lessons. Tardiness may result in a shortened lesson, as instructors are not obligated to extend lesson times.
Make-Up Lesson Credits
● For private lessons, a Make-Up Lesson Credit will be issued when a lesson is canceled with at least 24-hour advance notice via phone, text to the studio, or the online student

● Please do not contact instructors directly to cancel or reschedule.
● Each credit expires 45 days from the date of issue.
● Credits may be used for a lesson with your regular teacher, another available instructor, or to try a different instrument. They may also be transferred to a family member or friend.
● Once a make-up lesson is scheduled, it cannot be rescheduled or canceled.
Same-Day Cancellations
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice, including same-day illness, do not qualify for a Make-Up Lesson Credit.
● If your instructor is unavailable, a qualified substitute will be provided.
● If a substitute is not available, a Teacher Absence Credit will be issued, valid for 60 days.
Credit Limitations
● No more than three (3) Make-Up Lesson Credits may be pending on an account at any given time.
● Credits have no cash value and may not be applied toward tuition.
● All unused credits expire 45 days after membership ends.
10-Lesson Packages
● All lessons must be used within three (3) months of purchase.
● Lessons are non-refundable, and standard cancellation policies apply.
Group Classes
● No make-up credits or refunds will be issued for missed group classes.
● Scottsdale Studio of Music and Funtimes Music School reserve the right to cancel group classes due to low enrollment. In that case, students may transfer to another class or

Referral Program
We offer a $25 referral credit to any family that refers a new student to the studio. To redeem:
1. The referred family must complete one full month of lessons.
2. Email us at scottsdaleschoolofmusic@gmail.com (North Scottsdale) or funtimesmusicschool@gmail.com (Ahwatukee) with both your name and the referred family’s name.
3. Once verified, the referral credit will be applied to your account.
Photo & Video Release
Scottsdale Studio of Music and Funtimes Music School may photograph and/or video students for use in promotional materials (brochures, websites, posters, advertisements, and social media).
● If you prefer your child’s image not be used, please email us at the addresses above.
● While the student portal requires you to check “I agree” to proceed with enrollment, your email request will override this, and your child will be excluded from promotional use.
Injury Release & Liability Waiver
Participation in music lessons and studio activities is voluntary and at your own risk. By enrolling, you agree to assume responsibility for any risk of injury or harm to the enrolled student (child or adult).
You further agree to release, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Scottsdale Studio of Music, Funtimes Music School, and all affiliated staff and officers from any liability, claims, damages, costs, or expenses related to participation. General Waiver & Disclaimer
● A waiver of any provision or breach of this agreement by either party does not constitute a waiver of any future breach.
● Scottsdale Studio of Music and Funtimes Music School reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
● All policies are effective upon enrollment and are subject to change.
