Courses & Classes

Welcome! All of our children’s courses, classes, tutoring, testing, and more are here.

  • You can search our programs by category in the headings or scroll down to see everything we are currently offering.

  • You can select the class/course with the Registration/Add to Cart button and then check out through the shopping cart at the top right corner of your screen.

  • After you register and pay, we will send a follow up email (this is done through our office staff so it may take a day or two) to confirm your registration, provide you with further information, and provide a direct email to ask us any questions.

  • Please email us if you have any questions.

Please note that registering for a course is acknowledging you are aware of our center’s Rules & Policies.

Summer Courses

We are in the middle of planning several fun courses and camps this summer. Enrollment is open to any student but price, age groups, dates, and times are unique to each camp. Most camps stop at 5th or 6th grade. If you have a 7th or 8th grader interested, please email us and we may be able to make exceptions.

All camps have enrollment caps to keep classes small.

NASA Astro-Innovators

July 14-18 Grades K-5 1:00-4:00PM

Campers use creative and collaborative skills to design a mission patch, train like an astronaut, and solve real-world engineering problems using spinoff technology, just like NASA astronauts working together on a mission. They propose answers to questions like “How could space suit cooling tubes be used to solve a problem here on Earth? How could robotic arms help make our world a better place?” Then, they create a storyboard and presentation to share their spinoff project and work on their science communication skills. This camp includes the following:

DAY 1

Welcome to Astro Innovators camp! Each day kids will be asked to think and act like NASA engineers. To get the week started, campers will design notebooks to be used throughout the week to help create important engineering habits such as sketching ideas, brainstorming, and recording thoughts. We’ll introduce the importance of teamwork as kids design their very own crew mission patch. Kids will also participate in a design challenge where they’ll be asked to build, race and land pasta rovers!

DAY 2

NASA engineers have to create many different types of technology to solve problems that have never been solved before. Kids will step into the shoes of an engineer and build several different models of NASA technology such as robotic arms.

DAY 3

NASA has many great accomplishments in space, but its research also has a huge impact on Earth! Kids will learn all about NASA spinoffs, participate in a spinoff treasure hunt and use the Engineering Design Process to help teach others about new uses for NASA technologies during a group project.

DAY 4

It’s time to re-design! Kids will use their work created earlier in the week to solve a problem using the Engineering Design Process and teamwork! They will need to brainstorm, think outside the box, communicate and create a plan to get their prototype approved!

DAY 5

Campers will iterate and improve their spinoffs in preparation for creating a short presentation that captures their thinking and tells their design story.

Crazy Chemworks

July 14-18 Grades K-5 9:00-12:00PM

Shake up a flask of fun in the lab as a junior chemist! These five half-days of chemistry are packed solid with cool reactions. Campers put on some goggles and change liquid to solid and back again. They get to handle laboratory tools, build and break molecules, and pick up some tricks on chemical changes. This camp includes the following units:

Chemistry Club

Start your chemistry career with some laboratory basics. Campers learn to swirl, pour and mix like a scientist! Check out the colors of chemistry with the power of pH paper and create a stopper-popping reaction!

Reaction Time

Make some fast-acting changes with your fellow junior chemists! Campers teach

themselves to tell the difference between physical and chemical reactions and then put their knowledge to the test! You’ll be pushing the limits of chemistry today!

Chemical Combo

See the lighter side of science in this half day of chemical fun! Campers see how white light brings rainbow colors to our eyes and make some others glow. Mix up some solutions and mix some slime!

Crazy Concoctions

Explore the science in your home! Campers find out what makes glue stick and try out a tape test. Learn how chemistry makes what you bake and see the stuff that keeps bread together.

Super Cool Science

Chill down and heat up at the atomic level with solids, liquids, and gases. Campers see how cold dry ice is and melt a metal in hot water! Make colorful chemical reactions and find out how they happen.
