Participant Guidelines (For Kids)
Welcome, Young Entrepreneur!
You are about to run your very own mini-business. Here’s how to prepare and succeed:
Step 1: Create Your Idea
Make something you’re excited about.
Ask yourself: Would someone enjoy buying this?
Step 2: Make It Yourself
You should do most of the work.
Adults can help you stay safe, but the ideas and effort should be yours.
Step 3: Set Your Prices
Think about how much your supplies cost.
Choose a fair price.
Make a clear price sign so customers know how much things cost.
Step 4: Design Your Booth
Create a business name.
Make a sign.
Keep your table neat and organized.
Display your products so they are easy to see.
Step 5: Practice Talking to Customers
Smile and say hello.
Explain what you made and why it’s special.
Answer questions politely.
Always say “thank you,” even if someone doesn’t make a purchase.
Step 6: Be Responsible
Stay at your booth unless you have permission to leave.
Be kind and respectful to other sellers.
Ask an adult for help if you need it.
Closing Message to Participants
