Online High School Spanish 1A Course

This fall, The Gifted Collective is offering high school–level Spanish online, using curriculum developed by ASU Prep Global. The course is taught live by a fluent Spanish speaker, with small-group instruction designed for gifted, twice-exceptional, and intellectually curious learners — not a generic online language class. (We will be adding Spanish 1B in January which will complete Spanish 1 for the 2026-27 school year.)

What makes this different

  • University-developed curriculum. Course content comes from ASU Prep Global, the same organization that builds online coursework used by schools and districts across Arizona and beyond.

  • Taught by a fluent speaker. Real conversational fluency, not just textbook Spanish — delivered in a format built for how gifted learners actually engage with language.

  • All online with optional synchronous meeting times each week

  • Designed for our students. Pacing, depth, and support calibrated for gifted and 2e learners, including those who need more challenge, more flexibility, or both.

What you should know before enrolling

The Gifted Collective is not itself an accredited institution. This course uses ASU Prep Global's curriculum, but credit for the course is issued and documented through The Gifted Collective's transcript. The Gifted Collective will provide transcripts including grades and ASU’s course syllabus for documentation. If your student may need this credit to transfer to another accredited high school, or to count toward NCAA athletic eligibility, it is up to that institution as to if they will accept the transfer credit(s).
